IsolaDesk 3.2
Current versionVersion 3.2.0, released on October 13, 2026.

New
- Your subscription status inside the app: renewal date, a “Payment problem — update your card” banner with a button to Stripe’s secure page, and “Subscription canceled — active until” a date, with a Reactivate button.
- Settings › Subscription shows your email address, renewal date, key (hidden, with a Copy button) and this Mac, with shortcuts to manage your subscription or deactivate this Mac.
- Lost your key? Enter your email address in the app and IsolaDesk sends it to you again.
- A clear message when your key is still active on another Mac, with what to do next.
- Move License to This Mac, when you’ve copied IsolaDesk to a new Mac with Migration Assistant.
- Settings for each workspace (Workspace › Workspace Settings…, ⌥⌘,): name, color, an icon with up to two letters or an emoji, notifications on or off, and its WhatsApp session.
- Notifications for each workspace: turn them off for one workspace and keep them for the others, in its settings, in Settings › Notifications › By workspace or with Show Notifications in its right-click menu. A crossed-out bell marks a muted workspace.
- Help › Keyboard Shortcuts (⌘/) lists every shortcut, and ⇧⌘] / ⇧⌘[ open the next or previous workspace.
- A What’s New window after each feature update, also in Help › What’s New in IsolaDesk.
- Help › Report a Problem… prepares an email to support with diagnostic information, never your messages, and Help › IsolaDesk User Guide opens the help center.
- Settings in seven tabs: General, Workspaces, Notifications, Privacy, Subscription, Updates and Advanced.
- Settings › Updates: check for a new version, turn the daily automatic check on or off, read the release notes.
- Settings › Advanced: show the log file in the Finder, reset the settings, remove all workspaces.
- Forgot your passcode? on the lock screen: IsolaDesk logs every workspace out of WhatsApp on this Mac, deletes their local data, then removes the passcode.
- A local diagnostic log, and Help › Copy Diagnostic Information to paste into a support email.
- Open-source notices in the About window.
- A new, clearer icon in the Dock and the menu bar: two chat bubbles side by side, separated by a divider, like your accounts.
Improved
- Built on a newer version of Electron and Chromium. IsolaDesk now requires macOS 12 Monterey or later.
- IsolaDesk no longer hides anything on WhatsApp Web’s page: the only script it adds applies your notification settings.
- A Show message previews option in Settings › Notifications. Previews are always hidden while IsolaDesk is locked.
- A new Workspace menu, and text size remembered for each workspace (⌘+, ⌘−, ⌥⌘0).
- Each workspace’s icon appears in the sidebar and at the top of the open workspace, with letters in dark or white for better contrast.
- Before your first workspace, the overview shows how to add a WhatsApp account, step by step.
- A redesigned About window: version, Apple Silicon or Intel build, and the publisher’s details.
- The files of a deleted workspace are removed from your Mac at the next launch.
- If your license was revoked or this Mac was removed from it, IsolaDesk says so clearly, even after a restart.
- After an unexpected error, IsolaDesk explains what happened and quits cleanly. Your workspaces and your license are kept.
Security
- IsolaDesk starts locked whenever a lock option is on, and the lock needs a passcode as a fallback for Touch ID.
- While IsolaDesk is locked, its settings and license can’t be changed.
- Support for replacing the license signing key without reactivating.
