Questions about the free trial
How does the free trial work?
Enter your email on the free trial page. Stripe’s secure page then shows $0.00 due today and asks for no card: just accept the Terms of Sale. Your activation key appears right away and is emailed to you. It unlocks the Essential plan for 14 days, with up to 3 workspaces at a time on 1 Mac and every feature. There’s one free trial per email address and per Mac.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Nothing is charged: without a card, the trial can’t turn into a paid subscription. Three days before the end, we email you a reminder. To keep going, choose a plan before day 14 in My account or in IsolaDesk: you keep the same key and your workspaces. Otherwise IsolaDesk shows a “Your free trial has ended” screen with a button to choose a plan, and your workspaces stay on your Mac until you do.
“This Mac already used its free trial”: what does it mean?
Each Mac can use one free trial, whatever the email address. To keep using IsolaDesk on this Mac, choose a plan: from My account with your trial key, it simply becomes a paid key, or directly on the pricing page.
Which plan should I choose?
Every plan includes every feature and every update. They differ only by how many workspaces you keep at the same time and how many Macs use your key:
- Essential, $14.99/year: up to 3 workspaces on 1 Mac
- Pro, $29.99/year: up to 20 workspaces on 2 Macs
- Unlimited, $59/year: no workspace limit, on 3 Macs

How do I receive my license key?
Your activation key (it looks like ISOLA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) appears on the confirmation page right after your trial signup or your payment, with a copy button, and it is also emailed to you. It never changes: renewals, upgrades and the move from the trial to a paid plan all keep the same key. Lost it? Sign in to My account to see it, or have it sent again with the lost key form.
What is My account?
A page of this site where you sign in with your email, without a password: we email you a link that works once, for 30 minutes. My account shows your full activation key, your plan, its renewal or end date and the Macs using your key. From there you can choose a plan, upgrade, change plan, update your card, get invoices, cancel, remove a Mac or have your key emailed again.
